Welcome to Oakman Blvd Community

Oakman Boulevard Community Association was founded by neighbors in an effort to improve neighborhood conditions and protect the quality of life of the neighborhood. The Oakman Boulevard Community Association represents the Oakman Blvd historic district and adjacent streets in the near west side of Detroit, Michigan. The purpose of the association is to bring together residents of the Oakman Boulevard Community in order to achieve a better community in which to live, foster interest in civic affairs by providing opportunities for discussion of common neighborhood issues, and to act in concert to resolve these issues.

Historic Homes

Oakman Boulevard north of Davison, as well as the adjacent Oakman Court and Fleet Street, are all part of the officially designated Oakman Boulevard Historic District in the city of Detroit. Beyond the official bounds, our neighborhood has many stately, attractive brick homes that help maintain the curb appeal of our beautiful community.

Oakman Blvd Community Security

Neighborhood Safety

OBCA maintains a relationship with our neighborhood police officers at the nearby 10th precinct. Detroit Fire Department Engine 40 is located within our neighborhood bounds. Due to our vicinity to emergency services, OBCA has some of the quickest response times in Detroit.
